FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

With three modalities and a busy roster, it's reasonable to want to know where to start. Here are the most common questions we get from new clients.

  • When should I book a Registered Massage Therapy (RMT) appointment?
If you're dealing with stubborn muscle tension, you've recently strained yourself shovelling or lifting, or you have headaches from long days at a screen — that's a strong fit for RMT. RMTs are specialists in the muscular system and work with you to release tension so you can get back to feeling like yourself.
  • When should I book a Cranio-Sacral / Advanced RMT appointment?
If you can't seem to shake an old injury, or you're waking up with pain that isn't improving, cranio-sacral is a unique treatment option. By looking at the whole body — old injuries, daily habits, the joints and muscles and fascia and nervous system together — your therapist can address movement issues that may be driving the pain.
  • When should I book a Manual Osteopathy appointment?
If you're dealing with chronic pain, or you've had to stop activities you love because of how they make you feel, osteopathy is built for that. Our body works as an entire system — osteopathy treats it that way.
  • How long should my first appointment be?
We recommend booking at least 45–60 minutes for an initial visit so we have plenty of time to take your history and treat. You may also want to book a few follow-up appointments at the same time, since our schedule is often booked weeks out — we can always cancel or reschedule unnecessary appointments.
  • Do I need to undress for treatment?
Osteopathic treatment is performed over your clothes, so wear something comfortable and easy to move in. Massage therapy follows standard CMTO draping protocols — your therapist will discuss what is most comfortable for you before treatment.
  • Will I get a receipt for insurance?
Yes. Treatments by a Registered Massage Therapist are eligible for reimbursement under most extended-health benefit plans in Ontario. We provide receipts after every visit. For specific coverage and direct-billing options, check with your benefits provider.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, cheque, debit, and e-transfer. Taxes are included in all listed prices.
  • How do I prepare as a new client?
Download our health-history form before your first visit, or complete the virtual form when you create your booking profile. Arrive 10 minutes early on your first appointment so we have time to review the form together.
  • What's your cancellation policy?
We ask for at least 24 hours notice for cancellations so we can offer the appointment to someone on our waitlist. The booking system will send reminders.
