Manual Osteopathy
Manual osteopathy works on the premise that the body, given the right conditions, will heal itself. Our practitioners assess every body system in each appointment and combine soft-tissue release, joint mobilization, visceral and cranial work to address the cause of dysfunction, not just the symptom.

A closer look.
Manual osteopathy is built on a simple premise: the body, given the right conditions, will heal itself. The osteopath's job is to assess every system — joints, muscles, fascia, viscera, nervous system — find what's restricting that healing, and use focused manual techniques to give the body what it needs to balance the workload.
Osteopathy as a discipline is over 130 years old. The first Canadian college was founded in 1984. Our team holds the highest manual osteopathic credentials available in Canada — D.O.M.P. / D.Sc.O. and M.OMSc — and is accredited through the Ontario Association of Osteopath and OstCan.
This natural, safe, and effective discipline is available across the lifespan — from infants with colic, nursing trouble, or difficulty learning to crawl or walk, to adults with sports injuries, recurring patterns of pain, and dysfunction nothing else has resolved.
Assessment, treatment, home care — in your first visit.
An appointment with one of our Osteopathic Manual Practitioners includes assessment, treatment, and home-care recommendations in the same visit. We're trying to break the cycle of pain today, not three appointments from now.
Treatment is performed over your clothing, so wear something comfortable and easy to move in. Work is targeted at the areas of your body most affected. Everything is manual — we work with our hands, not machines.
Techniques you may experience.

Sustained, focused pressure on the muscle layer to restore length and reduce tension.
- Myofascial release
Slow, listening work into the connective-tissue layer that wraps every structure in the body.
